It's a tough and competitive market out there for graduate jobs, and to properly maximise your chances of getting hired, you have to (a) apply to a minimum of 30 companies, and (b) make your applications look as impressive as possible so that you get that all-important interview. All of this is, of course, time-consuming when you're at University with your coursework and exams looming.

The Applications team at HelpMe are real people with real experience in the graduate jobs market. Here's what we can do to help:

In each application form that you complete, you simply must make your work experience, and the answers to the 4 or 5 competency-style questions (e.g. teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, initiative etc), sound ultra-impressive. The most important question you will generally be required to complete, and the one which is most often completed badly by students, is the "Career Motivation" question (e.g. "Please describe why you have selected this business area, and the qualities you possess that make you suited for it"). Don't let your answer to this question let you down!


You need to stand out from the crowd to get offered an interview. HelpMeGetAnInterview will make the most of your achievements and work experience, by re-writing your answers effectively, and making you sound ultra-impressive.

Simply e-mail us the name of the company and the question you are having problems with, together with your draft answer which you'd like to be improved (or a paragraph describing the example you want to use), and we will re-write it and e-mail it back to you within five business days. Tell us the word or character limit which appears on the application form, and we'll make sure our answer complies with it.

We charge £30 for each competency application form answer which we re-write for you. The exception is the "career motivation" questions (these are unquestionably the most important questions to which recruiters attach the greatest weighting, and accordingly these are the ones to which we can add most value by providing you with insider, expert knowledge to demonstrate that you have done your research) and technical questions (where you are required to demonstrate your technical knowledge of the company or industry to which you are applying) - the cost of such answers is £50.

When you decide whether to use our services, remember that you are targeting a career that will pay you as much as £30,000 in your first year, and potentially a few hundred thousand pounds later. This is an investment in yourself and your future wealth.


Note that we only rewrite application answers for you in minimum batches of 4.

You need a killer résumé!

Your résumé is the primary document which will sell you to a company, so make sure it's better that anyone else's! We have reviewed thousands, and written hundreds, of résumés for clients (from new graduates to professionals of 20 years' standing, across a wide variety of industries), so we know what employers are looking for.

Your résumé needs to (a) be well-presented, (b) be clear and succinct and (c) set out your work experience and achievements in as understandable and impressive a manner as possible, which shows you are better than the rest. As well as helping you get the interview, a professionally written résumé will continue to work in your favour at the interview itself by carefully focusing the interviewer's mind on your major strengths and achievements - so it's a vital tool in helping you get the job of your dreams!

Our charges for résumés vary between £150 for undergraduates with very little work experience, to £350 for those with significant technical/professional experience. Please send us your résumé, and we will send you a quote based on the time we will require to perfect it.

Help with your cover letters

Employers receive hundreds of applications for each job, so a well-written covering letter will really make your application stand out from the crowd. The bottom line? If your cover letter does not show specific, detailed knowledge of the business area you are applying to, then you're probably not going to be interviewed.

Let us show you how your cover letter should really look. Simply send us the name of the company and the exact position you are applying to, along with your résumé and an explanation of why you want to target this particular job, and we'll draft you a great position-specific letter which will present your work experience and achievements in a manner relevant to the position to which you are applying, and which demonstrates that you have done your research into the job. We'll match your skills and experience to the employer's requirements - all of which will maximise your chances of getting the interview.

We charge £130 for each position-specific cover letter we write for you.

Help with Personal Statements

For applications to Masters, MBA or other post-graduate courses, we have extensive experience in writing and rewriting "personal statements". If you wish us to do this for you, we will quote you a price once we have seen the question, the word limit, and the data you wish to be included.

Applications to consulting firms

Many consulting firms do not require completion of an application form, but will accept your résumé and cover letter. There are hundreds of such firms which are worth applying to, but it's incredibly time-consuming to track down their details and find out about them. HelpMeGetAnInterview will provide a service where we will draft your résumé and consulting cover letter, then give you the contact details (i.e. contact name, address, phone number, e-mail address, URL and a paragraph containing a brief précis about the firm and what they do) for over 140 consulting firms worth targeting. We will prepare cover letters (and mailing labels) for each of these firms, each correctly addressed to the appropriate contact. You will then be able to print your résumé, cover letters and mailing labels, and send them to the firms. Details of this service are available on request. How to use the HelpMeGetAnInterview Application and Résumé Writing Service:

1. Click here to email us, and attach to your email a Word Document containing either (a) the questions you want to be re-written (including the company name and your draft answers or the examples you want to be used) or (b) your existing résumé if you want us to rewrite it, or (c) your cover letter details (including why you are targeting that jobs and your existing résumé).
2. The HelpMe Applications Team will then e-mail a Reference Number and total amount to you, along with a number to call to make payment. You can pay by all major Credit and Debit cards.
3. Once your payment has been processed, the Team will re-write your answers, cover letter or résumé in a Word Document, and e-mail it back to you within one calendar week. If your documents are urgent, we have a Premium Service where we will redraft the documents and e-mail them to you within one business day of payment, but there is an extra charge - details on request. (Note that the Premium Service is not always available during the busy graduate application season.)
